Tear Through Filler Treatment at Beauty Fox Studio
Treatment Overview

The delicate under-eye skin is susceptible to premature aging. The tear trough area becomes saggy and deep as we age, due to loss of collagen and elastin resulting in dark circles and a tired and deflated appearance. The derma filler application in the tear trough area restores volume and hydrates the under-eye skin. It lifts the drooping under-eye skin, smoothens the wrinkles, and reduces dark circles.

The hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers are injected into the targeted area using insulin gauge needles. The water-attracting hyaluronic acid hydrates the under-eye grooves and adds volume to the tear trough area. A topical anaesthetic is used to minimise the discomfort. The procedure can take twenty to thirty minutes and the effects can last up to one year.

Your eyes will look full right away, and you may experience minor redness or swelling in the first 48 hours, but that typically goes away on its own. During the first 48 hours, try not to sleep face down and avoid touching your eyes. If you’d like, you can use ice or a cold compress to help with any swelling.

You might be an ideal candidate for tear trough filler if you: have mild to moderate sagging under the eyes. have healthy, thick skin. have realistic expectations.

A very common problem that we see in our clinic is the worsening of malar bags as a result of previous tear trough filler treatment. As fillers tend to cause swelling, any patient with malar bags or festoons should avoid filler treatment, as this will only exacerbate the problem.
